Courage
No matter how old we are, we all have to put our courage to the test every so often. What might seem like the easiest thing in the world to one person may be a massive challenge for someone else.
In A quiet place at night, Fred doesn’t know whether to believe what his uncle told him before he went to bed: Is there a monster living in the toilet or not? But after he goes to the toilet in the night, one thing he knows for sure is that he won’t ever be afraid of it again. Today I will be brave sees a little rabbit deliberately take on risky and dangerous situations in order to feel extra brave. Luckily, he escapes unscathed thanks to his Auntie Stachelfell. Oli + Grant heroically come to the rescue of a small bird in need and the Activity page encourages children to draw out pictures of times when they have had to show how brave they are.
